Annual Plan

The Council adopted the Annual Plan 2010/2011 on 30 June 2010. 

The Annual Plan is produced every year that the Ten Year Plan is not. The Annual Plan provides an update of what the Council is proposing to do in the 2010/2011 year compared to what was proposed for that period in its Ten Year Plan 2009-2019. The Annual Plan includes the cost of delivering the Council's proposed activities, as well as outlining how the Council intends to fund these and how progress will be measured. Minor changes in the timing or cost of projects, as described in the Ten Year Plan 2009-2019 are also explained. If the Council is making any ‘significant' changes from the LTCCP, it must also amend the relevant sections of the LTCCP.

It highlights the key changes made to the Plan as a result of submissions. Annual Plan 2010/2011 - Section 2 Activities This section looks in more detail at what services the Council provides and why. It details what level of service will be provided and how this will be measured as well as some of the key issues related to the activity. It also includes details of projects (operational or capital) which are planned and explains any variations from what was planned for the 2010/2011 year against what had been included in the LTCCP. Annual Plan 2010/2011 - Section 4 Financial Information Presents the financial implications of the Plan. It looks at the net worth, cashflows, performance and the overall position for the 2010/2011 year compared to what was forecast in the LTCCP. This section also details any changes to the assumptions made by Council in preparing the plan as well as information about the revised rates for 2010/2011 in the funding impact statement and whether the Council is balancing its budget.
