Annual Report

The Council prepares an Annual Report every financial year. The Report tells you how we performed against what we said we were going to do in our Annual Plan or Ten Year Plan, how much it cost to do this and how we paid for it.

The Annual Report 2010/2011 reports on the Council's activities during the year 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011. It was adopted by Council on 26 October 2011.

Audit New Zealand has audited Council's full Annual Report and Summary and issued an unmodified report on both.  As part of the audit the auditors looked at whether the financial statements fairly reflect the Council's financial performance and position and comply with generally accepted accounting practice. 

In addition, they looked at Council's non-financial performance including how accurately we have monitored and reported on its activities and whether it shows the full picture.
